Today World Cement Delegation off to Hub, Pakistan, where DG Khan Cement Co. (DGKCC), installed and commissioned a state-of-the-art greenfield cement plant. The plant is located in the Lasbela District of Balochistan, just 44 km northwest of Karachi.
The plant currently produces 9000 tpd to cater for local demand in Southern Pakistan and for international exports via sea. Commissioned on 30 June 2018, the plant is the largest single production line in Pakistan.
The Hub plant was designed with latest engineering, automation and control systems in mind. Situated on 1400 acres of land, the plant operates a leased limestone quarry of 7463 acres. The plant also has quarries for clay, sand, shale and pozolana.
